Low Protein Diet for Kidney Disease

Once you have diagnosed being caught by kidney disease, the first thing you have to consider is to change your eating pattern. As the others disease do so, having badly nutritious foods in your stomach could affects your kidney disease condition’s getting worse, especially if you eat all protein rich foods. That’s why, it is strongly recommended to all kidney patients to do low protein diet on their daily life, soon after you’ve just realized the disease. Since that it is no doubt that our body actually needed those proteins inside, then this Diet program is arranged just to maintain it properly. Too much protein is hard to your kidney, but in other hand, too little of it could also make it even worse. By doing this diet, then you will be able to get longer time until your next kidney transplant day come.


There are several things you have to know before you starting this Diet. These things will ease you to get through all of the dietary process. The first ting is that you have to know that actually, protein calculated by the grams of your weight per kilograms. It means that if you had 65 kilos of weight, then protein you supposed to have in your body is around 560 grams. Then you have to consider your food. Usually the calculation of proper protein is about 0.8 gram per kilo of the food. Of course, it is assumed you are in your fittest condition. For those kids or pregnant women, the number could be raised. Try to knowing more about the foods you want to eat. Knowing them more, then you will be able to make your own calculation on how much is the protein in it. Since that your body still need protein then lower is not better. You may also consume the protein from the high quality protein source, such as egg, dairy, cheese, meat, and soon. Be sure that those foods are in their best quality.
